PAID STUDY: A PILOT STUDY ON PLASTIC EXPOSURE AND DEVELOPMENTAL OUTCOMES

Interested in how plastic exposure might impact maternal and child health

Interested in how plastic exposure might impact maternal and child health? Participate in a paid study to help researchers better understand how microplastics might alter human health and determine what lifestyle factors might increase exposure.

As a participant, you will earn up to $200 for completing several questionnaires and providing biological samples. This study includes: 1) A home or in-person self-sample collection (stool, breast milk), 2) Questionnaires, & 3) A visit to the Hopkins Research Unit for health assessments at 1 or 3-months postpartum.

Must be:

·      First time moms

·      Generally healthy

·      Living in Baltimore City or County

·      Mother/infant pairs

·      ~ 1 or 3-months postpartum

·      Your infant must be exclusively fed breast milk, either directly from breastfeeding or pumped from you, with no formula supplementation

Who are we looking for:

·      Expecting moms or those who have recently given birth

·      Interest learning more about human exposure to plastics
